Discussion, explanation, demonstration, questioning, and guided classroom activity.
5. Lesson Presentation
| Time | Teacher's Activities | Students' Activities |
|---|---|---|
| 5 minutes | Introduces the lesson by asking students to mention digital technologies they use at home, in school, or in their communities. | Mention familiar digital devices and explain how they are used. |
| 10 minutes | Explains emerging technologies and introduces Artificial Intelligence (AI), using familiar examples such as voice assistants and language translation. | Listen, take notes, and identify examples of AI in everyday life. |
| 15 minutes | Defines AI and explains its applications in education, healthcare, agriculture, banking, transportation, and communication. Discusses benefits and challenges. | Give examples of AI applications and state possible benefits and risks. |
| 15 minutes | Defines IoT and explains how connected physical devices use sensors, software, and networks to collect and exchange data. | Explain IoT in their own words and identify possible IoT devices. |
| 15 minutes | Discusses IoT applications in smart homes, agriculture, healthcare, transportation, and industry. Demonstrates or explains how a soil-moisture sensor can help a farmer manage irrigation. | Describe practical IoT applications and explain how connected sensors can solve problems. |
| 10 minutes | Guides students to compare AI and IoT and explains privacy, cybersecurity, reliability, and responsible use of emerging technologies. | State differences between AI and IoT and suggest ways to use them safely. |
| 10 minutes | Evaluates students through oral questions, summarises the lesson, and gives an assignment. | Answer questions, summarise key points, and record the assignment. |
Total Duration: 80 Minutes
