Students have previously learned about computer networks, the Internet, web services and email. They are expected to have some experience with saving files on computers or mobile devices and may already be familiar with accessing files through online services.

PRESENTATION

1. Introduction	Teacher asks students where they normally save photographs, documents and other files. Teacher introduces cloud computing as a way of using computing services through the Internet.	Students describe where they normally save their files and respond to questions about online storage.
2. Meaning of Cloud Computing	Teacher explains cloud computing and relates it to accessing computing resources and services through the Internet.	Students listen and explain cloud computing in their own words.
3. Cloud Storage	Teacher explains cloud storage as a method of storing files on remote servers that can be accessed through the Internet.	Students identify examples of files that can be stored in the cloud.
4. Examples	Teacher introduces services such as Google Drive and Dropbox and explains how they can be used to upload, store and access files.	Students identify cloud storage services they have heard of or used.
5. Advantages	Teacher explains advantages such as accessibility, backup, file sharing, collaboration and reduced dependence on local storage.	Students state advantages of cloud storage and give practical examples.
6. Safety	Teacher explains safe cloud-storage practices, including strong passwords, privacy protection, careful sharing and avoiding suspicious links.	Students identify safe and unsafe practices when using cloud services.
7. Practical Activity	Teacher demonstrates how a file can be uploaded to a cloud storage service and later accessed from another Internet-connected device.	Students observe the demonstration and, where facilities permit, practise uploading and accessing a sample file under supervision.
8. Conclusion	Teacher reviews the meaning, examples, advantages and safety practices associated with cloud storage.	Students answer review questions and summarize the lesson.
