BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. Define poultry in their own words clearly.
2. Identify and list at least five common types of poultry birds reared in Nigeria.
3. Explain the primary uses and economic importance of each poultry type.

INSTRUCTIONAL / TEACHING AIDS

• Wall charts displaying various types of poultry birds (Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks, Guinea Fowls, Quails, Pigeons).
• Real specimens (fresh poultry eggs of chicken and quail, feathers, duck down).
• Short video slides or pictures illustrating commercial poultry setups.

Students are familiar with common birds around their environment, particularly domestic chickens and ducks.

PRESENTATION STEPS
